With some of the most amazing wines in South Australia, Parker Coonawarra Estate is one of Australia's leading Cabernet producers. The first wine, the 1988 vintage was released in 1991. This wine met with outstanding success, winning the Penfold Hyland Trophy in Perth, and judged the 6th highest rated Bordeaux-Style in the 1991 International Challenge in London. Coonawarra soil is the oldest and most fertile of the 'limestone coast' soils. The total area of the Terra Rossa strip measures only 20km wide. This specific area of unique and extremely valuable soil, with its distinctive ingredients has achieved high acclaim around the world for the outstanding wine it creates.

Coonawara Estate Shiraz 2012

Mid-deep red colour, with a bright purple tinge. Fine spicy, white pepper lifted aromatics, with raspberry and darker blackberry fruit underneath. The palate is bright with berry fruits, complex pepper and spice characters and a fine tannin finish. A beautifully balanced wine with strength, fruit depth and elegance.

Coonawara Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Deep red with a red tinge. Complex aromas of dark berry fruit, inky and iodine notes, tightly wound and closed at this stage. Subtle cedar and spicy oak completely integrated. The palate is strong and rich with sweet earthy and complex dark fruit characters.

Terra Rossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Deep red tint. Intense deep dark fruit with some dark chocolate, prunes and charry vanillan and coffee oak aromas. The palate is rich and dense with a solid core of dark fruit running through the length of the palate.

Terra Rossa First Growth Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Mid-deep red purple tint. The nose is very complex, with dark berry fruit, complex forest floor, tobacco and spicy notes within a lifted smoky French oak frame. The palate is intense with rich ripe black fruit, liquorice notes and firm structured savoury tannins.
Parker Estate only releases wines under the Terra Rossa First Growth label which have been the structure for at least 15 years, boasting outstanding characteristics of physiological ripeness. This generally means that the fruit must dominate after a minimum of 20 months in new French oak. If in any one year the grapes do not reach the extremely high standard set, then no Terra Rossa First Growth is made.
